As a part of our Legal group, you’ll help uphold Apple’s high ethical and corporate standards. You’ll help provide legal support for the Labor and Employment Law team, working on a variety of legal matters, from claims and investigations to agency charges, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation. Together with your team, you’ll provide the critical support needed across the US along with global support of systems, applications and tools. Apple's Labor and Employment Law team is a global organization responsible for defending labor and employment law matters, with a strong proactive partnership with the People and Employee Relations teams. We handle a broad range of legal work, including managing civil third-party subpoenas, and are committed to innovation in technology, eDiscovery, and litigation management.
In this role, you will collaborate with U.S. employment attorneys, litigation, and eDiscovery teams to support, collect, and manage data in a forensically sound manner. We are looking for a diligent, dedicated, and forward-thinking contributor who can drive process improvements, manage complex projects, and leverage technology to enhance litigation and legal operations.
- Partner with employment attorneys and cross-functional teams to manage litigation, trial, and class action matters from inception through resolution.
- Oversee and administer document management, matter management, and eBilling systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
- Lead and manage teams supporting eDiscovery, document review platforms, and document production workflows
- Develop, contribute to, and write detailed specifications and requirements for legal systems and applications
- Manage civil third-party subpoenas, ensuring timely and compliant responses in coordination with legal counsel
- Utilize advanced spreadsheet tools to build formulas, tables, charts, and summaries to identify, quantify, and track litigation and claims data
- Perform analysis, reporting, and claims data management to support litigation strategy and decision-making
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine case management strategies and team support frameworks
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, procedures, and technology adoption across the legal operations function
- 12+ years of paralegal experience in employment law or litigation
- 8+ years of project management experience, preferably within a legal or corporate environment
- Bachelor's degree
- Trial and class action experience
- Proven experience managing projects, systems, applications, and tools, including system administration responsibilities
- Advanced proficiency with document management, matter management, and eBilling systems
- Ability to flex and support operations projects in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and strong interpersonal skills
- Sense of humor
- Paralegal Certificate or J.D.
- Experience/ expertise in reporting and claims data management
- Advanced ability to utilize spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) with formulas, pivot tables, charts, and summaries to support class action analysis
- Experience leading and managing teams supporting eDiscovery, document review platforms, and document production
- Experience contributing to and writing specifications and requirements for legal systems and applications
- Experience handling civil third-party subpoenas
- Corporate in-house experience
