As an Embedded Software and Prototyping Engineer working on visionOS platforms at Apple, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and developing real-time software across the visionOS stack.
  • Define, design and develop software solutions for Apple's AR/VR technology
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams at Apple, drive requirements, and deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Understand the end customer use-cases, and design and develop software solutions tailored to those experiences
  • Develop early prototyping software solutions in simulation/emulation environment
  • Deliver shipping quality software solutions
  • Identify and implement efficient system-level solutions across HW and SW to meet the product's performance goals within the power constraints
  • Debug hard to reproduce issues and propose solutions with minimum impact to user experience
  • BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience/skills
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of C/C++
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems fundamentals and embedded systems
  • Experience in developing kernel drivers, embedded firmware, system frameworks, etc.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with development in simulation and emulation environment
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and able to confidently driving multiple projects across many teams
  • Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways
  • Ability to work under tight schedule and deliver on time
  • Laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers
  • Familiarity of Apple Operating Systems i.e. iOS, visionOS, macOS, etc
  • Understanding of Swift programming language
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
