Join the team that brings the magic of Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm to life every day, across EMEA and beyond! We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and commercially savvy leader to drive licensed product growth across key fashion categories and demographics. If you’re passionate about storytelling through product, spotting trends, and shaping iconic brands, this is your moment.

Overall Purpose of the Role

This role contributes to the development and execution of the EMEA regional long-term and fiscal year category strategy, with the objective of maximising sales of licensed products in alignment with individual market goals. The scope spans all consumer demographics and covers the full Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm franchise portfolios, requiring deep expertise across a wide range of consumer product categories.

Overview of Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement forward-thinking, data-driven strategies that scale revenue, reach, and brand influence. Leverage key trends, commercial performance, and consumer insights to identify and activate new business opportunities, while maximizing existing ones.

  • Demonstrate leadership, vision, and commercial acumen to craft actionable plans at a sub-category level. The role requires agility to capitalise on emerging opportunities and market dynamics, while also targeting and securing strategic partners.

  • Provide strategic oversight and expertise in product development, spanning design, sourcing, and supply. A strong appreciation for integrated marketing (digital, social, and retail) is essential to ensure a cohesive consumer experience across touchpoints.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across internal teams and external partners. Lead senior-level engagement and joint business planning with new and existing EMEA/Global accounts to negotiate contracts and drive sustained growth in licensing sales.

  • Act as a key liaison between Global/EMEA strategies and local market needs, ensuring alignment while empowering local teams with strategic support that complements their specific goals.

Impact

Through a unique blend of demographic insight, innovative product development, and meaningful partnerships, this role helps deliver the magic of Disney to consumers. It supports brand trust and affinity in a dynamic global marketplace, offering quality, creativity, and fun across every product experience.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasting process, developing category objectives and strategies to drive growth, working with key stakeholders - markets, consumer demo groups, category, franchise, marketing, product development, finance and legal.

  • Active participation and contribution to the regional management team, adding value to the long term strategic planning of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) business as market leaders in both licensing and category.

  • Lead contract negotiation and manage relationships with global and European licensees and distributors to maximise TWDC royalty revenue across regions

  • Identify new partners to continually strengthen the licensee base and grow revenues aligned to corporate strategic plan

  • Collaborate with TWDC market teams providing information and regular updates as well as understanding and satisfying local market needs and differences

  • Lead business development, research projects, category meetings and licensee meetings

  • Work closely with the global and EMEA category, creative and product development, briefing strategy, range planning, brainstorms and development timelines to ensure EMEA needs are met

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

  • Relevant sales or similar consumer targeted experience; experience in buying is preferred

  • Significant experience working within the fashion retail/branded business

  • Team leadership and management experience

Skills Required

  • Strong financial acumen

  • Ability to analyse data and construct practical conclusions and recommendations

  • Excellent communicator and a proven ability to deliver strong commercial presentations

  • Strong written and spoken English for business use, essential; other European languages are beneficial

  • Understanding of European markets

  • Strong leadership skills within a matrix organisation

  • Creative problem solver

  • Collaboration and influencing at all levels

  • Able to create a vision that drives results

Additional Information

  • Flexibility for frequent UK, European or International travel may be required

  • Contribution to ad-hoc projects as the business requires

  • Flexible hours may be required to meet business needs

  • The role is based in Hammersmith, London, and we operate a 4-day in-office policy.
