About the role
6 months internship (Nov, 2025-May,2026)

As an Engineering Intern, you will join one of our many teams in November, 2025 to develop robust, well-designed products, implement new updates and features, and solve complex problems that affect our business and our clients. Rippling Interns gain the experience of full-time engineers with responsibilities, ownership, and opportunity. Interns will be assigned projects that not only have an impact on the business, but that are also scoped to fit within the time constraints of their internship so they can see the full impact of their work.

We provide our interns exciting and innovative projects to work on that allow them to see the fruition of their work. During your tenure at Rippling, we will provide all of the tools needed to be successful. Your dedicated mentor and manager will provide support for your learning and development throughout your time with us. You will join your fellow interns in a variety of socials, talks with Rippling leaders, and more!


About the team

Rippling is rapidly expanding its customer base, supporting larger enterprise customers, and launching new lines of business across its 30+ products, all while scaling globally. At the hear of this ecosystem is Employee Records, a foundational element that powers not only HR products but also integrates seamlessly with every product to deliver a unified, cohesive experience.

The HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) team plays a critical role in managing all aspects of employee data, including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and transitions. The team's mission is to ensure the correctness and completeness of employee records, which serve as the backbone of Rippling’s ecosystem.

HRIS operates at the forefront of Rippling’s growth, building new products at high velocity to support expansion into new verticals and customer segments while maintaining the integrity of data. As the entry point for any new customer or product integration, the HRIS team is pivotal to delivering Rippling’s vision of a unified platform for modern workforce management.

What you will do

• Utilize your software engineering skills to tackle important projects, solving problems, and developing quality code
• Think critically and apply your knowledge to real world, complex problems
• Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle to scope, drive and progress your projects.
• Learn about the business, our clients’ needs, and the impact of your team and related projects
• Attend Meet & Greets with various stakeholders like Product Managers, Designers, Customer support, Sales and teams to gain a holistic view of what it takes to run a company like Rippling
• Foster relationships with your intern cohort and teams through both exclusive internship social events and company/office-wide events

Preferred Qualifications

• 2025 graduates with Bachelor's/Masters/Dual degree program in engineering, computer science, or a related field
• Excellent communication skills to work cross functionally and across departments
• Solid programming skills with an emphasis on backend experience and knowledge
• Ability to adapt and ask action-oriented questions to progress
• Passion and drive to constantly learn and develop your engineering skills
