Overview
Responsible for giving legal advice and assistance to Paychex with respect to labor and employment matters.
Responsibilities
- Provides legal support and advice to the HR outsourcing business division and client-facing HR professionals.
- Identifies on-going training and support needs for client-facing HR professionals.
- Creates and presents trainings to HR professionals.
- Stays current on legal and industry developments, especially related to labor and employment laws.
- Oversees employment agency claims as necessary, including investigation, response, and representation at regulatory hearings.
- Maintains excellent partnerships with internal clients to meet their legal and business needs.
- Provides support for any other internal labor and employment matters as may become necessary.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Admitted to bar in a U.S. state and in good standing with the relevant bar association(s) in the US state(s) where licensed to practice law.
- 3 years of experience in employment law.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $127,018 - $155,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
