Overview
Leads the Centralized Sales Administrative Support Services operations and strategies. Provides leadership, coordination, direction, and oversight to the Centralized Sales Administrative Support organization. Accountable for operating budget, employee retention, continuous process improvement and headcount efficiency measures. Accountable for providing strategic direction and prioritization for activities being performed by the Centralized Sales Administrative support team to ensure objectives are consistent with those for the overall Sales organization. Partners with Zone Managers, Directors, Sr. Directors, VPs, and other key stakeholders in Service Operations, Finance, Marketing and Compliance to identify key sales support needs and implement support strategies that drive innovation, continuous improvement, and future growth of the company. Oversees the development and implementation of processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure, and technology to support and improve Centralized Sales Administrative Support operations to ensure sales administrative support teams are effective, efficient, and successful.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and oversight for sales administrative management in attracting and retaining a high performing, diverse workforce. Recruits, selects, hires, and develops high performing talent. Evaluates performance of personnel to ensure that all departmental needs are handled appropriately. Counsels and develops staff for personal and corporate advancement through career development, training programs, and other resources. Creates proactive strategies that result in a work environment and culture that drives high overall performance, stable employee retention and high employee engagement. Oversees Centralized Sales Administrative Support employee training and onboarding in support of Centralized Sales Administrative Support Services employee development, career path and retention programs.
- Establishes reporting standards and strategies for Centralized Sales Administrative Support Services and proactively monitors results. Consistently manages and controls labor and administrative expense to achieve cost center projections. Ensures timely and accurate submission of management reporting data (key performance indicators, goals, dashboards, etc.).
- Builds and maintains effective internal client relationships; manage virtual relationships across all Sales locations including a variety of key stakeholders. Meet regularly with supported internal clients, senior management to build relationships, understand business needs, manage service delivery, resolve issues, and bring solutions.
- Develops a culture of sales support excellence and collaboration. Develops and executes on strategic sales initiatives, including communication and change management plans, to support the overall vision and business needs for both Centralized Sales Administrative Support and the overall Sales organization. Leads managers and employees through actions needed for successful execution.
- Manages development and implementation of standard operating procedures and policies to remove barriers, promote a sales support philosophy that improves productivity of staff and drives change efforts to achieve desired results. Drives overall performance and sales support levels by developing best in class team metrics to exceed sales goals and holds the leadership team accountable. Engages key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives.
- Acts as an agile leader to create and execute strategies for the achievement of business goals. Develops strong relationships and engagement with key business partners and stakeholders to maximize the attainment of business goals. Drives innovation by identifying, leading, and implementing continuous improvement, technologies and growth initiatives that impact results to enhance profitability and assist the overall Sales organization to meet its business objectives and goals. Improves the client experience by gathering and analyzing technology opportunities and sharing with key partners.
- Ensures the successful and consistent onboarding and ongoing remote management of engaged sales administrative personnel located in multiple sites or in flexible work arrangements to drive high levels of support as well as establishes, reinvents, and achieves key performance metrics. Partners with remote leadership teams to ensure effective communication and promote connectivity between business units.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
- 3 years of experience in supervising/managing direct reports, preferably with experience with direct reports in multiple locations.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $111,160-$206,440 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
