Overview
We are seeking a result-driven Commissioned Salesperson to handle outside sales duties—from generating leads to closing sales. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, answer product questions, and recommend the right solutions while resolving complaints and ensuring maximum client satisfaction.
This is a pay-for-performance role, compensated 100% by sales commissions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assess customer needs and provide information regarding product features
- Follow and achieve sales goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
- Actively seek out and pursue new customers; answer customer queries
- Be knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases
- Process finance applications and contracts
- Cross-sell and up-sell products (e.g., package deals, GPS, extended warranties)
- Partner with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
- Build productive trust relationships with customers and the community
- Comply with inventory control procedures
- Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g., planning marketing activities, events, packages)
Skills Needed
- Proven work experience in a dealership sales role or similar
- Working knowledge of tractors and one or more related industries (agriculture, construction, landscaping, or similar)
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus)
- Basic math skills
- Understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Track record of over-achieving sales quota
- Hands-on experience with POS transactions; comfortable learning new technology
- Familiarity with inventory procedures
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly and energetic personality with a customer-service focus
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
- Availability to work Saturdays
- High school degree required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Agriculture, or Construction is a plus
