Overview

As a Senior HR Consultant , you will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees across Latin America, helping them navigate complex people matters while driving a consistent, high‑quality employee experience. You will leverage deep HR expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and a consulting mindset to solve challenging employee relations situations, enhance leadership effectiveness, and support key HR programs and initiatives.

This role provides the opportunity to:

Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Diagnose and resolve complex, high risk employee relations issues in partnership with HR, Legal, and business stakeholders, ensuring a safe, values aligned work environment.

  • Partner with investigative teams such as Workplace Investigations (WIT), BRI, GER, and legal counsel when needed.

  • Interpret trends in employee relations issues, identify systemic risks, and recommend preventative or corrective interventions.

  • Collaborate in the execution of critical Labor Relations projects with local HR

  • Lead cross functional execution of annual collective bargaining agreement

HR Solutions Consulting

  • Provide expert consulting to managers and employees across HR programs, processes, and initiatives.

  • Synthesize insights and contribute thought leadership to influence the future direction of HR work.

  • Generate and present trends and organizational health insights to HR leaders, recommending action based on local and regional needs.

Digital

  • Embed AI-enabled practices into HR workflows, piloting new tools, driving adoption, and scaling learnings across the HR community.

  • Partner with business leaders to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation by aligning talent strategy with evolving capability needs. Participate in initiatives focused on reskilling, upskilling, and workforce readiness—delivering in an AI-powered, rapidly evolving landscape.

Capability Building

  • Conduct oneonone consulting and coaching with business leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness.

  • Collaborate across HR disciplines (TM, L&D, HRBP) to design and deliver capabilitybuilding initiatives.

  • Identify training needs across the region and amplify consumption of learning programs.

HR Projects & Programs

  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement scalable HR programs and adapt them to the country or regional context.

  • Lead or support HR projects (e.g., performance checkpoints, retention initiatives) based on business or geospecific needs.

Operational Compliance

  • Interpret and advocate Microsoft values and compliance with HR policies across Brazil and other Latin America countries.

  • Identify and mitigate risks by collaborating with legal and crossgeo HR partners.

Queue & Case Management

  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries via CRM, ensuring timely case closure and documentation accuracy.

  • Maintain queue hygiene, ensure data integrity, and manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 7+ years experience with human resources or business programs/processes OR Master's Degree AND 4+ years experience with human resources or business programs/processes OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both Portuguese and English, both verbally and in writing, to support employee relations matters and stakeholder engagement in Portuguese‑speaking regions

Preferred Requirements

  • Spanish/ English language capability
