Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Principle Software Engineer Manager to lead the definition and evolution of the agility space within the Enterprise Sydney Platform team. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving measurable improvements in engineering agility, delivery velocity, and customer impact.
Key Challenges You’ll Tackle:Lack of clarity and ownership in agility metrics and outcomes. Fragmented tooling and inconsistent engineering practices. Gaps in visibility and predictability across delivery pipelines.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams toward concrete, customer-impacting goals.
- Solid technical background with the ability to dive deep and influence architecture and delivery.
- Experience driving agility transformations or process improvements at scale.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in engineering management.
Responsibilities
- Define and shape the agility strategy for the platform team, aligning with broader enterprise goals.
- Identify and address systemic inefficiencies in engineering workflows, tooling, and processes.
- Drive KPI-driven improvements across planning, execution, and delivery.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Lead by example—be hands-on in understanding technical challenges and guiding teams through solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and accountability.
