Overview
As a Senior Account Executive, you will lead Microsoft’s strategic engagement with one of the UK’s most complex and high-impact central government departments. You will be responsible for orchestrating Microsoft’s full commercial and technical relationship with the department.
Focus Areas Include:
AI Business Solutions: Scale Copilot and AI-first solutions across the department workforce and regulatory functions.
Cloud & AI Platforms: Accelerate cloud migration, modernisation of legacy estates, and adoption of Azure AI services.
Security: Strengthen the department’s cyber resilience and compliance posture through Microsoft’s security stack.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and/or a proven track record working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education, Technology) and/or driving digital transformation
- Sound experience working with CXO stakeholders
- Experience in being directly responsible for a quota
Responsibilities
Account Leadership & Strategy
- Own the end-to-end relationship with the Department acting as the primary point of contact for all commercial engagements.
- Develop and execute a multi-year account strategy aligned to the departments digital transformation priorities and Microsoft’s MCAPS solution areas.
- Lead account planning, forecasting, and pipeline development in collaboration with internal stakeholders and partners.
Customer Engagement & Executive Influence
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including DDTS (Digital, Data, Technology & Security), to influence strategic IT and business decisions.
- Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor, bringing insights on AI, sustainability, cloud modernisation, and regulatory compliance.
Deal Execution & Commercial Excellence
- Drive complex deal structuring and negotiation, including Enterprise Agreements (EA), cloud consumption, and licensing optimisation.
- Manage renewals, upsell, and cross-sell motions, ensuring alignment with budget cycles and procurement frameworks.
Internal Orchestration
- Lead a virtual team of technical specialists, customer success managers, and partner managers to deliver value across the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Collaborate with industry, product, and partner teams to bring the best of Microsoft to the client.
