Overview

Xbox is looking for an experienced and driven Senior Technical Program Manager to lead AI driven documentation, learning resource strategy, and localization for our global Xbox developer audience. This role is pivotal in scaling developer education and platform documentation using cutting-edge AI tools while ensuring the highest quality content experience across our ecosystem.

As a key leader on the Xbox Product Planning and Release team, you will drive the evolution of our content infrastructure, partner closely with engineering and product teams, and introduce modern, AI-enhanced workflows that support developers building on Xbox platforms. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
  • 4+ years of experience in program management, technical documentation, or digital content publishing—ideally focused on developer platforms or tools
  • Experience as a game developer or working with game developers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on gaming platforms: Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Steam, Unreal, Unity
  • Proven success leading end-to-end documentation for technical products (e.g., API references, developer guides, tutorials), with measurable impact on engagement and adoption
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Notion AI) into documentation, QA, localization, or publishing workflows
  • Skilled in defining documentation strategies and standards that scale content quality, consistency, and localization across global audiences
  • Understanding of localization challenges and pipelines
  • Proficiency in tools like Swagger/OpenAPI, Git, Markdown, Azure/Jenkins, CMS platforms, and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Interpersonal skills, ability to build strong partnerships within team and across organizational lines
  • Communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and content to deliver high-impact programs
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and drives high-quality results with minimal oversight

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Transform Xbox learning documentation leveraging AI
  • Develop and manage comprehensive RoB for developer documentation and learning resource updates
  • Oversee triage of developer documentation feedback; continuously evaluate and improve documentation based on feedback and analytics
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, product, and marketing teams to understand documentation needs and prioritize for highest impact and efficiency
  • Review documentation processes and standards to ensure consistency and quality leveraging existing best practices and evolving leverage AI
  • Drive AI documentation excellence – spearhead evaluation and deployment of generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Notion AI) to assist with content creation, QA, translation, and legacy updates; define clear goals, integrate AI into CI/CD doc pipelines, and measure usage impact
  • Primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on program/project progress focused on documentation, learning, and localization
  • Build and maintain roadmap of projects’ release criteria, ensuring requirements are met
  • Drive and support team Rhythm of Business across planning and execution motions
