The Business & Industry Copilots (BIC) group is a rapidly growing organization that is responsible for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite of products, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, AI Builder, Microsoft Industry Solution and more. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager to join our team.

Microsoft Dataverse is the platform to securely store an enormous amount of data in a cost efficient, scalable and easily manageable way. This team builds an analytics platform and suite of microservices to get near real-time insights over the data usage and provide valuable insights to the customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience is developing microservices and shipping at scale.
  • 3+ years of experience in management, leading a team of at least 8 people.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with design and implementation of enterprise-scale AI products.
  • Experience delivering Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform solutions.


Software Engineering M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
• Lead the team in design, development and optimization of standardized frameworks and pipelines for ingestion and consumption of data at a very high scale
• Lead the ensures services and processes meet security, privacy, and accessibility standards, demonstrating compliance.
• Coordinates project and release plans with stakeholders, breaking down long-term visions into milestones and guiding resource management.
• Leads data collection and analysis to refine products and make informed engineering decisions.
• Integrates and reviews telemetry data to ensure system performance and reliability, creating dashboards and notifications.
• Work with various engineering teams.
