Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
  • Experience with programming (i.e. SQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing business prioritization, project design and execution, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience of and proven ability to be successful in a complex, globally scaled environment, planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level, organized, detail-oriented, strategically focused.
  • Analytical acumen and ability to make data-driven decisions with experience presenting recommendations to and influencing executive stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to organize, synthesize, and present content anchored in research and data.
  • Strong mix of theoretical and practical problem solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous problems and organizational situations.

As part of this mission, Core is leading a company-wide AI Transformation program with a goal to meaningfully accelerate Alphabet’s velocity, improve user experience, reduce risk, and become Customer One through responsibly expanding the use of GenAI, engineering, and process transformation.

The Core Finance team serves as trusted advisors to the Core business leadership team to help make optimal investment decisions. As part of the Core Finance organization, the AI Transformation Finance team partners with leaders across Alphabet (including Core) to mature spend governance practices and realize efficiencies resulting from AI transformation efforts.

As a Financial Analyst within our AI Transformation Finance team, you will serve as a strategic orchestrator of financial visibility, driving clarity across our high-stakes, cross-functional initiatives. You will not only manage comprehensive financial synthesis, but proactively shape the narrative of our financial performance, functioning as a critical partner to leadership by transforming complex inputs into actionable, high-impact insights.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $116000 - $167000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Own the consolidation and reporting of financial results, delivering clear, accurate, and actionable summaries and findings that drive strategic leadership decision-making.
  • Evaluate and synthesize business cases, providing proactive analytical support to project leads and program-level stakeholder visibility to accelerate the advancement of key initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain a central, accurate source of truth for financial data by aggregating inputs from various sources and projects.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration to gather and synthesize program updates, ensuring accountability and consistency for stakeholder reviews.
  • Own the development of materials for stakeholder updates, including high-impact presentations and summary documents that clearly communicate project status and financial health.
