What You Will Do
We are looking for a Civil Engineering inter who will work within the department responsible for civil engineering including design, analysis, calculations and specifications for hydrology/hydraulics, sanitary and storm sewerage, storm water management, water treatment, potable water and other utilities for the site/area development of an individual facility/attraction, land, or theme park project. - Be responsible for civil engineering design and calculation tasks
- Make decisions within established guidelines and provide, under supervision, engineering design and analysis in support of the production of construction contract documents
- Communicate across multiple teams including structural, mechanical and electrical engineering teams to facilitate coordination of work
Required Qualifications & Skills
- General knowledge of the civil engineering curriculum, with concentration in the areas of grading, hydrology/hydraulics, detention/retention ponds, sanitary and storm sewerage, potable water and utility coordination
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D
Preferred Qualifications
- Active membership in a professional engineering organization
- Engineer-in-Training certified
Education
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or graduated within 6 months from an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Glendale, CA area
- Have reliable transportation to/from work
