As an Cash Equity Operations Analyst as part of Equity Operations, you support cash equity transactions from client onboarding through settlement. You help ensure client accounts are set up correctly, trades are allocated and confirmed, and settlement processes run reliably each day. You partner closely with internal stakeholders and external parties to resolve inquiries and prevent breaks. You look for ways to improve accuracy, speed, and the overall client experience through streamlined processes and automation. You contribute to a team culture that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role is intended to be for an initial term of 12 months only, however, subject to business needs, the contract may be extended or converted to permanent employment.
Equity Operations supports the end-to-end post-trade lifecycle for cash equities, connecting onboarding, account maintenance, confirmations, and settlement. You’ll work with colleagues across functions to keep processes controlled, timely, and client-focused, while supporting improvements that reduce manual effort and operational risk.
Job responsibilities
- Process daily cash equity transactions accurately, following established procedures and quality controls
- Support client onboarding activities from account setup through readiness to trade and settle
- Coordinate account opening documentation requests with local custodian banks
- Set up new trading accounts and sub-accounts in local systems with high attention to detail
- Prepare and assemble account opening packages for submission and review
- Review account opening packages for completeness and follow up to resolve missing items
- Maintain organized soft-copy and hard-copy filing in line with record-keeping requirements
- Support allocation, confirmation, and settlement pre-matching to reduce breaks and delays
- Prepare local regulatory reporting accurately and on schedule
- Resolve client or internal inquiries by investigating issues, proposing solutions, and tracking to closure
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows using automation and process improvements
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of the cash equity trade lifecycle (from onboarding to settlement)
- Ability to follow controlled processes and meet daily deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Demonstrated ability to organize tasks, prioritize work, and track items to completion
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and partner with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new procedures and tools
- Proactive mindset with willingness to take initiative to improve outcomes
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting
- Experience supporting cash equity confirmations, settlement, or pre-matching processes
- Familiarity with local custody account opening practices and documentation workflows
- Experience preparing regulatory reporting or working with regulatory requirements
- Exposure to automation tools or process improvement methods (e.g., macros, workflow tools, scripting)
- Experience investigating settlement breaks and driving issue resolution
- Interest in using automation and artificial intelligence concepts to improve operational workflows
