Job summary

As a Corporate & Investment Banking Risk Associate in Regulatory Strategy, Wholesale Credit Risk, you provide end-to-end support for regulatory exams and internal and external audits across wholesale credit risk. You help us deliver consistent, accurate, and well-supported responses by applying sound credit risk judgment and effective coordination. You partner with senior credit stakeholders and key business partners to anticipate questions, elevate themes and issues, and improve how we execute exam and audit response workflows.

Job responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end exam and audit support across Wholesale Credit Risk functions
  • Challenge credit team responses to strengthen risk rating rationale, credit strategy narratives, and process explanations
  • Advise on positioning and messaging to clearly articulate credit rationale and the process under review
  • Prepare credit teams for regulator and auditor meetings, including content readiness and anticipated questions and answers
  • Ensure responses are consistent, accurate, complete, and aligned to agreed tone and key messages
  • Consolidate responses to regulatory questions by engaging the right subject matter experts
  • Identify emerging exam and audit themes and escalate issues to management and stakeholders as appropriate
  • Manage exam and audit trackers, collaboration sites, and logistics using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and related tools
  • Deliver post-exam and post-audit readouts with lessons learned, observations, and recommended actions
  • Analyze and synthesize data to summarize key credit characteristics, trends, relationships, and regulatory insights
  • Improve processes to increase quality, consistency, and productivity across response workflows

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in wholesale credit risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and apply wholesale credit concepts and risk management principles
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple concurrent requests
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with ability to communicate complex credit topics clearly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in wholesale compliance and or regulatory risk management
  • Experience using SharePoint and data visualization tools
  • Project management experience
