As a Data Quality Execution Analyst within the Chief Data Office (CDO), you will spend each day executing data quality items end-to-end through the firm’s lifecycle management process to improve the quality, integrity, and security of critical data. You will be responsible for partnering with business stakeholders, data and product owners, technology teams, and other CDO partners to progress items through required phases and tollgates while ensuring adherence to firmwide standards and local procedures. You will navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and build subject matter expertise through hands-on delivery and continuous learning.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end management of Corporate Finance & T/CIO data quality items across all lifecycle phases (Intake, Prioritize, Analyze, Commit, Resolve, Closure).
- Review new submissions using the C/F & T/CIO CDO Intake Checklist and coordinate clarifications with reporters to meet firmwide DQ definitions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to assess business impact, complete required fields in the DQM tool, and support prioritization using standardized methods.
- Facilitate root-cause analysis and handshake discussions between product owners and upstream/downstream partners, including ownership transfers to other CDO teams.
- Partner with business process owners, data owners, control managers, technology stakeholders, and CDO teams to identify impacted applications/processes and progress items within SLAs.
- Coordinate control manager reviews for high/medium priority items and collect/upload required evidence and documentation in the DQM tool within SLA timelines.
- Create, assign, and monitor DQM tasks to track remediation steps, owners, and due dates through Commit and Resolve phases.
- Validate item closure by confirming remediation completion, root-cause resolution, and required sign-offs/evidence.
- Monitor aged items, SLA breaches, and roadblocks and escalate issues to data owners and CDO leadership as needed.
- Prepare governance materials, including metrics, breach rationales, and status updates for high-priority and aged items.
- Contribute to thematic reviews, training/onboarding, continuous improvement updates (job aids/checklists/procedures), and participation in firmwide DQ forums.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Risk Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial services, data management, project coordination, or business analysis
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
- Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholders at various levels
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, ask clarifying questions, and drive issues to resolution
- Self-motivated learner with intellectual curiosity and eagerness to develop subject matter expertise through hands-on experience
- Sound judgment and ability to escalate issues appropriately
- Ability to interpret and apply governance documents such as policies, standards, and procedures
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Prior exposure to data governance, data quality, or operational risk management frameworks
- Familiarity with Treasury or Finance functions, including capital management, liquidity, structural interest rate risk or regulatory reporting
- Experience working with workflow management or ticketing tools
- Knowledge of CORE (Compliance and Operational Risk Evaluation) framework and issue management processes
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Qlik, Tableau, or similar)
- Exposure to Confluence, SharePoint, or other collaboration platforms
- Understanding of project management methodologies and ability to track deliverables against timelines. Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across lines of business and functions
