As an Escrow and Paying Agency Client Manager - Vice President in Liquidity & Account Solutions, you will report to the Escrow and Paying Agency Team Leader and will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of Escrow and Paying Agent relationships. You will partner with your teammates to accomplish your responsibilities and will have accountability for all facets of the account management of your Escrow and Paying Agent transactions.
JPMorgan Liquidity & Account Solutions (“L&AS”) works with global clients with complex cash management needs who operates across multiple countries, currencies, legal entities, and time zones, including multi-national corporations, high-growth technology companies, commercial banks, non-bank financial institutions, central banks and broker dealers. Our advanced, end-to-end solutions which combine physical, notional and virtual techniques enable our clients to achieve visibility, control and optimization of working capital.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide strong customer service by responding quickly and accurately to client requests, offering solutions to client needs, and developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Manage client accounts, including initiating payments upon client instruction while ensuring that overdrafts and operating losses are avoided.
- Review, action and approve account ticklers (reminders) in a timely manner. Ensure all account information is kept up-to-date and monitor account risks.
- Analyze legal agreements and supporting documentation from M&A shareholders to make decisions on funds release.
- Ensure all account activities comply with the relevant governing escrow and paying agency agreement and J.P. Morgan policies and procedures, including account documentation, callbacks, investments, billing, account setup, and account termination.
- Partner with Middle Office, Product Management and Sales to maximize new business opportunities with existing client base.
- Participate in and lead special projects to improve process efficiencies and the client experience, including the timely and accurate completion of project-related deliverables.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proven experience managing client accounts with direct customer interaction
- Working knowledge of legal agreements, gained through prior roles
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, applying strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Collaborative and proactive team player with strong multitasking, organizational skills, and a consistent focus on risk controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal partners
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in Escrow and Paying Agency, Trust or Custody, strongly preferred
- Payment processing experience
- Accounting experience
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) or Debt Capital Markets Financing experience
- Strong Excel and Word skills
