As the Quant Analytics Director within the Card Marketing Analytics team, you will lead the Global Acquisition channel analytics efforts to tailor products, offers, and customer experiences, maximizing value for clients, partners, and the bank. You will collaborate closely with business teams to assess and manage marketing campaign performance, while working with data and analytics peers to leverage comprehensive data, analytics, and AI capabilities. Your strategic thinking and leadership will be crucial in delivering performance optimization insights and creating executive-ready presentations with actionable recommendations.

Job responsibilities

  • Work closely with business teams to measure and manage marketing campaign performance and collaborate with peers in data & Analytics to bring all our data, analytics and AI capabilities to bear. Inform organization wide strategic investments in marketing through financial modeling, product economics, customer journeys, and business / product expertise. Perform analytics / modeling to enhance targeting and effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Optimize targeting strategies across channels including digital, direct mail, branch, affiliates and partners. Identify potential growth opportunities by working with the testing center of excellence to design and conduct statistical experiments (Test & Learn).
  • Utilize industry best practices in measuring media performance to optimize media spend on acquisitions. Analyze large datasets to derive insights and identify trends in customer acquisition, behavior, and profitability to inform business strategy. Collaborate with stakeholders like marketing, finance, and analytics teams to deliver an analytics vision and support strategic business priorities.
  • Leverage knowledge of banking and financial services to establish data-driven strategic objectives and key results (OKRs). Build reporting and analytics to ensure robust tracking of key performance metrics. Monitor, report, and conduct regular reviews to track progress towards the OKR’s, while providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve customer acquisition and experiences with our card products. Apply strategic thinking, analytical skills, leadership, and industry knowledge to deliver performance optimization insights.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate initiative effectiveness and inform ongoing strategy
  • Create and deliver executive-ready presentations that translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field such as Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Operations Research, or Economics

  • 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry, specifically focusing on - Financial product economics / P&L analytics; Financial modeling and optimizing drivers of profitability; Optimizing Marketing to impact channel targeting strategies; Customer segmentation and behavioral analytics to improve marketing efficiency;
  • People management leading transformation efforts and managing analytical teams;
  • Leveraging data to drive business decisions; Performing data manipulation, data structuring, and query optimization using SQL and Python; Automating data processes, and integrating data from multiple sources to support business intelligence initiatives;
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Python, Alteryx and Tableau
  • Working and influencing decision-makers in a Global matrixed organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise, executive-ready presentations and synthesize complex information
  • Experience developing financial business cases
  • Operational knowledge of consumer and community banking operations
