As a Vice President in Regulatory Affairs, you will lead monitoring and advocacy on priority policy topics across Asia Pacific with a focus on digital assets, artificial intelligence, data and technology, and broader fintech. You will partner with colleagues across regions to analyze developments, advise on implications, and shape positions that drive consistent, practical execution. You will cultivate relationships with policymakers and industry bodies in East Asia and deliver concise daily and periodic reporting for internal stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

  • Monitor and synthesize regulatory policy developments across Asia Pacific and relevant international standard setters, identifying trends and impacts.
  • Produce timely, clear analyses of policy changes with practical business implications and options for action.
  • Develop positions and advocacy strategies on proposed regulations; lead engagement with policymakers, regulators, and trade associations to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Coordinate with regional partners to ensure consistent interpretation and execution across businesses and legal entities.
  • Represent firm views in discussions with regulators, legislators, and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver daily and periodic policy reports and briefings for senior stakeholders.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support evidence‑based policy positions and responses.
  • Build strong relationships with internal partners across business, legal, compliance, risk, finance, and government affairs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including peer firms and industry bodies.
  • Lead cross‑functional workstreams to align advocacy and implementation plans.
  • Uphold high standards of integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum of bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Experience in public policy, risk, strategy, legal, compliance, or a related function with direct exposure to financial services regulation in Asia Pacific.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks in one or more East Asia markets (for example, mainland China, Korea, Hong Kong) and the regional policy context.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce concise policy analyses, impact assessments, and executive‑ready materials.
  • Proven experience engaging with policymakers, regulators, or industry bodies on regulatory topics.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple time‑sensitive deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and collaboratively, taking accountability for outcomes.
  • Highest level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Professional experience in digital assets, artificial intelligence governance, data and technology regulation, or fintech policy in Asia Pacific.
  • Experience coordinating policy across regions and aligning with international bodies focused on securities, banking, or financial stability.
  • Quantitative skills to evaluate policy proposals and support evidence‑based advocacy.
  • Track record leading multi‑stakeholder advocacy initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with legal‑entity considerations and implementation within complex organizations.
  • Experience delivering daily or high‑frequency policy reporting for internal stakeholders.
