As a Vice President - Trader Local Markets - Colombia in the trading team, you execute and manage trades across Colombian fixed income (TES, COLTES, UVR-linked bonds), derivatives, and FX pairs with a focus on USD/COP.
You will manager isk books, providing market-making and liquidity, mentoring junior traders, and contributing to P&L generation in a high-volume, regulated environment.

The position requires at least 10 years of relevant trading experience, with proven success in emerging markets and specifically the Colombian market.


Job Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage trades across Colombian fixed income (TES, COLTES, UVR-linked bonds),derivatives, and FX pairs with a focus on USD/COP.

• Develop and implement proprietary and client-driven trading strategies, including directional trades, relative value, arbitrage, and hedging.

• Monitor macroeconomic indicators (Colombian inflation, BanRep rates, fiscal policy, oil prices, global EM flows) and provide real-time market analysis and color to clients and internal stakeholders.

• Manage risk exposures (VaR, Greeks, position limits) in compliance with internal risk policies.

• Provide liquidity and market-making activities.

• Collaborate with sales, structuring, and research teams to originate and execute client flows.

• Mentor and oversee junior traders and analysts on the desk.

• Contribute to desk strategy, P&L budgeting, and performance reporting.

Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Minimum 10+ years of professional trading experience in financial markets, with at least 5-7 years focused on Colombian or LATAM local markets.

• Proven track record as a trader (VP or equivalent) with consistent positive P&L generation and risk-adjusted returns.

• Deep knowledge of Colombian market instruments.

• Strong understanding of Colombian economic drivers (BanRep monetary policy, fiscal deficit, political events).

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
