Job Summary:
As a Senior Associate in Agency Securities Finance Operations, you will provide regional operational support for Discretionary Securities Lending businesses. You will collaborate with global trading desks, monitor settlements, manage collateral, and drive process improvements. In this role, you will leverage your market knowledge and digital skills to deliver exceptional service, support client transitions, and contribute to the growth of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for ASF trading desks.
- Monitor client sales and ensure adequate inventory for settlement.
- Assist the trade desk with recalls, swaps, proxy events, buffer management, MSCI rebalance, and client transitions.
- Monitor securities lending trades to ensure settlement, liaising with counterparties and agent banks.
- Process and monitor reinvestment desk trades to ensure settlement.
- Manage collateral, ensuring sufficient coverage for stock on loan, including cash, non-cash collateral, and bilateral repos.
- Review and report on daily compliance data.
- Provide metrics and commentary to senior operations managers.
- Drive efficiencies and process improvements using digital tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau, and Python.
- Support changes to control and automation agendas.
- Manage transitions of assets and incremental requests for client restructures in the APAC time zone.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Sound knowledge of global financial markets.
- Minimum seven years of experience in securities lending, collateral management, settlements, or trade support/middle office roles.
- Proven track record in a dynamic operations environment, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- History of process improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of custodian workflows.
- Strong controls focus.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience supporting global trading desks and client transitions.
- Advanced skills in digital tools and automation.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in collateral management and compliance reporting.
- Exposure to digital tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau, and Python is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or above preferred.
