As an Associate in the External Reporting Team within the Equities Product Control Group, you play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our Equities Trading business. You will help us strengthen our control framework, drive process improvements, and implement innovative solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance and transparency. Together, we create value for the business and support your professional growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and enhance controls for daily and monthly balance sheet and liquidity processes
- Identify risks early and ensure robust data and reporting
- Seek and implement smarter, more efficient ways of working
- Automate manual tasks and challenge existing processes
- Reconcile trading positions, balances, and valuations with accuracy
- Investigate and resolve data mismatches and issues
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulations
- Participate in control testing and maintain clear process documentation
- Support audits and knowledge sharing across teams
- Identify and implement automation opportunities using tools such as Alteryx
- Collaborate with trading, treasury, operations, and finance teams to align goals and share ideas
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, STEM, or related field
- 2 years of experience in product control, financial analysis, or similar analytical role
- Understanding of equities products such as cash equities, equity derivatives, swaps, and financing business
- Proficiency in Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, control enhancement, or automation initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder management and presenting ideas to management
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Knowledge of balance sheet and liquidity concepts
- Progress toward professional qualifications such as ACA or ACCA
- Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviews
- Familiarity with process documentation best practices
- Exposure to automation tools beyond Alteryx
- Experience working in a global or cross-functional team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
