As a Business Analyst Lead within our Reconciliation Transformation team in the Securities Services business, you will be responsible for leading and delivering strategic projects that enhance reconciliation processes, drive operational efficiency, and support business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage data-driven insights, and implement innovative solutions to transform and optimize reconciliation practices across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Document and analyze business requirements for reconciliation processes, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of reconciliation solutions, including automation and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to onboard new reconciliation processes and integrate input/output files.
- Conduct data analysis to identify exceptions, investigate breaks, and recommend effective solutions to improve match rates and operational efficiency.
- Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to reconciliation processes and systems.
- Utilize project management and business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and digital tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) to support reconciliation activities.
- Apply knowledge of market reference data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) to enhance reconciliation accuracy.
- Assist in the prioritization of sprint backlogs by evaluating tasks against business goals and project timelines.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations clearly.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to reconciliation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- At least 8 years of experience in software product development and change management.
- Deep knowledge of reconciliation processes, including break investigation, exception management, and securities operations in financial services.
- Familiarity with industry-standard reconciliation tools and frameworks.
- Skilled in analyzing complex data sets and implementing solutions to enhance reconciliation accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficient in project management and business analysis platforms (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) as well as MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Visio, Excel).
- Experience with digital tools such as Alteryx and Tableau.
- Understanding of Market Reference Data Account platforms like Bloomberg and Reuters.
- Background in applying AI and machine learning to automate reconciliation, improve match accuracy, and detect patterns in large data sets.
- Capable of developing and optimizing AI-driven models for exception management and break investigation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Experience working in software delivery and agile development environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
- Able to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in financial services or a related industry.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Familiarity with technical funding processes and business case development.
