Behind every investment is a person with ambitions, motivations and values. While we know that every client is unique, they come to Nutmeg for the same reason: our straightforward and transparent approach to investing.

Nutmeg is a J.P. Morgan company offering award-winning investments, products and digital wealth management services to over 250,000 investors in the UK. We built the business from scratch, with constant innovation a core part of our ethos since the beginning. We aim to provide clients with the best digital investing experience, ensuring digital security and customer satisfaction – meaning you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Program Delivery Manager with proven leadership, strategic planning, transformation, organizational, and communication skills to drive complex and innovative initiatives from inception to launch.

As a key member of the Program Delivery Management team, you will be instrumental in delivering Nutmeg’s most significant and strategic projects. Your responsibilities will include overseeing large-scale initiatives such as new product launches, product enhancements, integrations with our B2B partners, and international expansion.

In this role, you will be accountable for developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, defining and tracking milestones, decisions, risks, and issues, and ensuring robust governance throughout the project lifecycle. You will also manage effective communication among stakeholders, including third parties, to ensure alignment and transparency.

We are looking for a hands-on contributor with a strong sense of initiative and a bias for action, who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering impactful results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate the delivery of complex projects on Nutmeg’s roadmap, guiding initiatives from initial conception through to successful implementation and launch.
  • Develop, manage, and clearly communicate comprehensive plans that capture key delivery milestones, decisions, risks, and issues. This includes monitoring progress across Product, Engineering, Operations, Customer Experience, and other functional teams, while ensuring all activities comply with Control and Compliance standards.
  • Ensure initiatives are executed within the agreed scope, delivered on schedule, and remain within budget, consistently building a reputation for trustworthiness and reliability.
  • Provide structure, direction, and pragmatic guidance throughout the project lifecycle, helping teams maintain focus on critical priorities and objectives.
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships across internal functions and with external partners, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
  • Work closely with colleagues to define, refine, and continuously enhance our program delivery processes and protocols.

Required competencies:

  • Extensive experience managing diverse and innovative programs in the financial sector, consistently delivering impactful results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead all stages of the product lifecycle, including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
  • Experience with software delivery best practices, working with technical product requirements and mapping of dependencies, design of minimum viable products, working with multi-country requirements.
  • Significant hands-on experience working in agile environments, utilizing tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Solid practical understanding of additional delivery methodologies, including Waterfall.
  • Adaptable and professional communicator, skilled at presenting to senior executives and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Open and transparent in managing work and program progress, ensuring diverse stakeholders are kept informed through well-designed governance and regular updates.
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to bring structure, clarity, and a bias for action to complex initiatives.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, maintaining composure and focus under pressure.
  • Effective facilitator, adept at managing and resolving conflicts, and able to influence and motivate others without direct authority.
  • Experience in change management, including impact assessment, defining success metrics, stakeholder engagement, and supporting training to ensure program adoption and success.
  • Experience in building wealth management products, with familiarity across the end-to-end lifecycle of brokerage and mutual funds considered a strong advantage.
