Job Description

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about brand management, digital marketing, advertising, and executing campaigns according to schedule, scope, and budget. This person will have ownership over process development and the opportunity to grow their strengths in executing creative ideas and brand storytelling.

As a Brand Marketing Associate within Chase, you will participate in the development and execution of brand marketing plans, including the assessment of critical issues and the recommendation of strategic and tactical solutions.

Job responsibilities

  • Maintain a deep understanding of brand purpose, strategy, and guidelines to facilitate effective brand stewardship and cohesion across all go-to-market efforts.
  • Understand business and marketing objectives, championing brand solutions that deliver on business goals.
  • Partner closely with business teams to provide strategic and tactical brand, advertising, and marketing communications support.
  • Manage the production and implementation of advertising and content tactics across integrated paid and owned channels, including linear and online video, digital, mobile, social, print, audio, out-of-home, website, email, and direct mail.
  • Work closely with agency partners and cross-functional marketing teams—including media, social, digital, PR, project management, creative, and analytics—to drive cohesive creative campaigns.
  • Partner with the market research team to uncover key consumer insights and test creative ideas.
  • Ensure legal, compliance, risk, and control requirements are met for all campaigns, with appropriate approvals obtained.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of relevant marketing experience, with demonstrated expertise in brand strategy, marketing communications, and/or advertising execution; preferably with experience working in or directly with advertising agencies.
  • Strong business and marketing acumen, with the ability to link strategies to marketing campaigns from concept to execution and deliver results.
  • Creative agency management experience, including the ability to work with and manage agency partners through quick turnarounds and timelines, and to clearly synthesize and deliver actionable feedback.
  • Expertise in video, digital, and social creative production, as well as channel best practices.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams, manage across teams to keep deliverables on track, and keep key stakeholders informed.
  • Solutions-oriented self-starter with an eye to the future—driven to solve problems independently, able to anticipate roadblocks, and able to think beyond immediate next steps to understand evolving project dynamics.
  • Trusted collaborator with demonstrated talent in influencing a diverse group of stakeholders; strong team interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to key mid- and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to execute and prioritize brilliantly in a fast-paced, deadline-riven environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with, or a strong understanding of, the legal and operational constraints of creating large- and small-scale marketing campaigns for a financial services company.
  • Small business and/or financial services industry experience.
  • Past agency or in-house agency experience, preferably in an account management role.
