Job Description

As a Wealth Management, Cross Asset Trader, Vice President within JP Morgan, you will play a significant role in helping to develop market views, investigate and determine the best execution vehicles to express market views for both tactical and longer-term, market investment ideas, as well as execute cash equities, strategic equity solutions and potentially fixed income securities. You will also collaborate with other team members to provide high-quality client service and ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute cash equity trades to JPM Global Wealth Management clients

  • Execute cash equity client orders with speed and accuracy respecting best execution principles.

  • Leverage strong cash equities market knowledge, with an understanding of trading conventions and various commonly used trading algorithms.

  • Advise/Manage high-touch orders taking into account volume/market volatility/natural flows and liquidity avenues.

  • Take lead in leveraging opportunities in concentrated position space originating out of Southeast Asia & Singapore China markets. Participate in client calls along with the advisors.

  • Work as a team to manage equity syndicate demand on IPOs and Follow-ons when JPM is acting as a bookrunner in a deal.

  • Take part in idea generation through both qualitative and quantitative data analysis as well as assisting with development of trading electronic automation.

  • Providing our Investors with exceptional guidance & service in navigating and trading the global equity markets

  • Serve as a backup trader for fixed income securities.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in equity sales and trading experience at an Asset Management firm, Private Bank, or other institutions.

  • Experience in capital markets, buyside/sell side trading or electronic trading algorithms with familiarity in all aspects of equities in an institutional setting.

  • Strong market knowledge, with an understanding of trading conventions.

  • Strong interest and passion for financial markets, macro data, international affairs, and geopolitical events.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills to effectively articulate investment processes and views.

  • Strong quantitative, data analysis and modeling skills.

  • CACS certified is essential for performing the duties associated with this role and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities

  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage in order to support mandarin speaking clients and stakeholders from China market and other markets.

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.

  • Coding skills, such as Excel, Python are preferred.

  • Experience in Equities sales & trading. Experience in a cross-asset trading setup is an added advantage.

  • Experience working both on technological troubleshooting / development within a trading setting as well as using quantitative skills to improve efficiency and investment process of team.

  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines.
