As an Associate, Investment Fee Specialist within the Asset Management Division, you will work in a collaborative team environment and across multifunctional teams, performing customized calculations and analysis of client fees and revenue for the Division.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analysis and resolve complex fee calculation issues by understanding performance attributes, portfolio returns, benchmark indices, market values, and cash flow data.
- Maintain knowledge of Investment Management fee terms and structures for each account to articulate calculations concisely with Investor Specialists and Client Service Managers, obtaining approvals to finalize fee calculations.
- Manage the IM (Investment Management) fee client account workflow from onboarding, fee calculation, analysis, review, and invoice distribution.
- Identify automated fee calculation structures and develop UTs for manual calculation structures as required.
- Develop relationships with Client Service Managers and key offshore stakeholders to align with Fee Operations.
- Interpret fee agreement language and understand requirements before calculating an invoice.
- Develop and maintain a risk and control framework for performance fee calculations and required UTs.
- Identify automation opportunities and contribute to technology builds to create an industrialized support model for management fees.
- Learn, manage, and take ownership of other areas of asset management fee types, analysis, calculations, and team functions as a member of the team.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- 7 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Operations or similar work experience
- Financial Services Industry knowledge including investment products, mutual funds, and regulatory rules
- Bachelor’s Degree required with advanced degree(s) (MBA, CFA, or CPA)
- Strong Analytical acumen and Data Mining Skills
- Experience with fee agreement interpretation and performance fee structures.
- Strong Technical Competencies including excellent working knowledge of all MS Office applications
- Results oriented with an attention to details, controls, and thrives on challenges
