Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled data engineer to join our analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support the data-driven decision-making process of the company. The ideal candidate should be an expert in SQL, Alteryx, and Python and have 2-4 years of relevant experience in data engineering.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform data cleansing, aggregation, and transformation as needed. Design, develop and maintain our data pipelines and infrastructure
• Work closely with the analytics team to ensure data quality and accuracy. Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement new data sources
• Develop and maintain ETL workflows using Alteryx and other tools
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze data and produce reports
• Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards
• Design and implement data security and privacy policies
• Monitor data usage and performance to identify and resolve issues

Required Qualification, Skills and Capabilities:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in data management or a related field
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, and Python
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, or QlikView
• Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in wrangling large, complex datasets, strong database skills and ability to write, optimize and tune complex SQL scripts

Preferred Qualification, Skills and Capabilities:

• Previously worked in an insights function at a financial services firm, consulting firm, or a marketing agency
• Have a strong grasp of big data disciplines, Agile (scrum) methodologies, and new technologies
• Are proficient with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
