Description
This role reports directly to the SOLA Area Leader, owning the domain plan for SOLA-wide specialist resource investments and customer adoption strategies across current and future services. The team drives field motions with deep expertise in AI, Data, Containers, Serverless, and AWS Managed Services, leading cross-service C-level engagements with Application Modernization and Cloud Operations personas.
AWS seeks an accomplished leader with Sales, Product, Business, and Technology experience who has helped large enterprises and high-growth organizations accelerate their AI and cloud-native journeys. This leader will carry revenue responsibility while leading a cross-functional team of Sales, Business Development, and Solution Architects.
This team serves as a critical customer feedback channel, directly influencing AWS product and services roadmaps. You will lead domain-based C-suite discussions, amplify the voice of the customer to the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), and shape technology roadmaps and Go-To-Market strategy.
Performance is measured by revenue growth, net new customers, and product/service influence. You bring multi-vertical, multi-segment sales leadership experience and serve as a public spokesperson for AWS at large-scale events.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and implement the SOLA-wide specialist domain plan, prioritizing resource investments, customer adoption, and go-to-market motions for current and future AWS services.
Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team of Sales Specialists, Business Development Representatives, and Solutions Architects across AI, Data, Containers, Serverless, and AWS Managed Services.
Revenue Ownership: Own specialist-influenced pipeline and consumption targets across the SOLA territory.
Customer Engagement: Lead C-suite discussions with large enterprises and high-growth organizations to accelerate their AI and cloud-native transformation.
Field Partnership: Orchestrate complex sales cycles with local account teams, deploying specialist resources for maximum customer impact and revenue acceleration.
Voice of Customer: Channel SOLA customer insights to WWSO, influencing technology roadmaps and Go-To-Market strategy.
Market Evangelism: Represent AWS at large-scale industry events, panels, and press engagements as a public-facing domain spokesperson.
