Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
eero is looking for an experienced Operations Program Manager (OPM) to lead manufacturing operations for new product introduction (NPI) programs at our contract manufacturer (CM) sites. This is a factory-embedded, hands-on role that serves as the primary eero operations representative on the ground, driving build readiness and execution from Prototype (Proto) build through Engineering Validation Test (EVT), Design Validation Test (DVT), Production Validation Test (PVT), and into mass production ramp.
You will work closely with eero stakeholders:
- Local-based NPI team — including Manufacturing Test Engineering (MTE), New Product Introduction Engineering (NPIE), and factory Process Quality Engineering (PQE) — who are co-located at or near the CM site and collaborate daily on build execution and quality
- Global NPI team — including Engineering Program Management (EPM), Software (SW) Engineering, Hardware (HW) Engineering, Go-to-Market (GTM), Supply Planning, and Sourcing — who are based at eero headquarters and partner remotely on product readiness, program milestones, component availability, and launch alignment
Together with CM factory teams, you will ensure every NPI build is executed on schedule, at quality, and within cost targets.
Key job responsibilities
Build Execution
- Own end-to-end manufacturing operations from Proto through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production ramp, including build planning, material readiness, line qualification.
- Drive build readiness reviews (BRR), manage line setup and capacity planning, and coordinate daily report for each build phase
Local Team Coordination
- Work day-to-day with MTE and NPIE on test fixture readiness and debug support, and partner with factory PQE on quality control processes, yield tracking, and corrective actions
- Escalate critical manufacturing issues and ensure compliance with eero manufacturing standards
Global Team Coordination
- Align with EPM on program schedules, phase gate milestones, and cross-functional action item tracking
Coordinate with SW and HW Engineering on software build readiness, firmware flashing, and hardware changes impacting manufacturing
- Partner with GTM on device allocation, sample requests, and launch readiness requirements
- Collaborate with Supply Planning on Clear to Build (CTB) status and Supply Plan of Record (SPOR), and coordinate with Sourcing on component readiness and lead times
- Represent operations status, risks, and escalations in weekly NPI program reviews (e.g., ELPR)
Capacity & Ramp Planning
- Develop NPI capacity bring-up plans starting from Proto, define direct labor (DL) and indirect labor (IDL) requirements, and lead OK2FWD, OK2Ship, and support OK2Announce readiness reviews
Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular build status updates to program leadership, maintain operations action trackers, and manage NPI device handling and disposal in accordance with eero security requirements
