Are you passionate about solving business challenges at a global scale? We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and help unlock insights that will drive global cost reductions for Amazon. The candidate will be excited about understanding Amazon's operational processes and implementing AI-powered solutions to identify cost improvement opportunities. They will do this by partnering with key stakeholders across business, operations, Finance and cross-geography teams. They should be curious and comfortable digging deep into the business challenges to understand and identify insights that will enable us to expands our capabilities globally to scale this initiative. They will be comfortable delivering/presenting these recommended solutions by retrieving and integrating artifacts in a format that is immediately useful to improve the business decision-making process. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as business acumen. They are experts in partnering and earning trust with operations/finance leaders to drive these key business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Own the development of analytical solutions that help identify cost anomalies at scale. Create summarized visuals and insights out of the analytical models.
- Partner with operations/finance teams to consult, develop and implement KPI’s, build large size databases to track these KPIs globally and finally automate the reporting solutions.
- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
- Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
- Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs.
- Excellent writing skills, to create artifacts easily digestible by business and tech partners.
Key job responsibilities
• Creation, maintenance of Dashboards
• Build Infrastructure to grow into a Tier 1 product
• Own all partnerships with stakeholders to setup, onboard and maintain required tables, data lakes, data structures for APIE
• Developing, maintaining queries for APIE features and owning ad-hoc query needs/dive deeps for escalations/issues identified
• Automation and upkeep of WBR, MBR and QBR data inputs
• Supporting the PM and the RAs for all large scale data requirements and providing them in an actionable format to run pilots, launch features and enable effective decision making
• Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when and which data sources to use.
• Own the data preparation to run financial / CX estimates for pilots/experiments
• Act as the custodian of data for APIE and maintain sanity of data across all APIE stakeholders

About the team
Cost to Serve (CTS) aims to identify and eliminate waste, negative experiences, and non-value activities across the end-to-end remit of supply chain and dependent workstreams that slow down resolution for our stakeholders. The primary objective is to reduce Cost To Serve for Amazon and enable “Free Cash Flow” by optimizing the Cost per shipped unit economics across the supply chain systems. Our program will support in establishing the end-to-end supply chain checkpoints on how the inventory moves inside Amazon to identify gaps, broken processes/policies to eliminate root causes of systemic difficulties rather than merely addressing symptoms, on behalf of our customers. This team will partner with internal/external stakeholders to establish the FCF/Cost to serve charter based on opportunity size and own specific unique initiatives that are beyond the existing team’s program scope.
