We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager – Technical to redesign and simplify the smart home shopping CX on Amazon. You will put yourself in the shoes of our customers - from novices looking to begin their journey to experts looking to fully trick out their homes – and design and launch a new Smart Home shopping experience that is relevant, personalized, and removes the friction that exists today. You will work with a team of cross-functional partners who are focused bringing the most delightful Smart Home experiences to Amazon customers. This is a highly visible, high impact, role that is expected to shape the trajectory of smart home for customer and our business.
You will work with Product Managers, UX designers, Engineers, and the Leadership team to identify real-world customer problems and turn them into business opportunities. You will interact with stakeholders throughout the company to determine the best practices for architecting, building, testing, and deploying software solutions that enhance the shopping experience. You will have complete ownership to define and drive innovation with the latest technologies, including machine learning and AI. We encourage experimentation and pushing innovative technology solutions. You will also have opportunities to build platforms and influence other groups as you define new customer experiences.
Key job responsibilities
- Define a world-class online customer shopping experience for Smart Home by authoring Working Backwards Press Releases which bring your vision to life.
- Own high quality, creative, and simple-to-understand product roadmaps based on customer learnings and business strategy.
- Author detailed and crisp business requirement documents that bring user stories to life. These will be used to create product specifications which Engineering teams will use for implementation.
- Drive product releases launches, working cross functionally with UX Design, Go to Market, Public Relations, Legal, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support load.
- Lead discussions with Directors and VPs that challenge our existing constructs and present fresh alternatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience with UX design and Online Shopping CX

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
